About Vinyasa Yoga with Kirsty
More About Me
Hello, I’m Kirsty — a Yoga Alliance certified teacher offering Vinyasa yoga classes in Hertford, with a focus on mindful movement, breathwork, and creating a welcoming space for all.
My Journey Into Yoga
I qualified as a yoga teacher in 2017 after completing a fully immersive, three-month teacher training in Thailand.
This experience not only deepened my own practice, but completely transformed how I connect with myself and others — both on and off the mat.

Training in such a rich and traditional setting allowed me to truly understand the roots of yoga. I bring that foundation into my teaching today, blending the physical with the emotional, and the breath with the body.

My Teaching Style
My classes are grounded in traditional Ashtanga yoga, infused with the flowing sequences of Vinyasa and a strong focus on pranayama (breath control).
I teach in a way that is both accessible and empowering — whether you're completely new to yoga or returning to the mat after time away.

Each class is a safe, supportive space where you’re encouraged to move at your own pace, listen to your body, and connect with the breath.
My aim is to guide you toward strength, balance, and stillness — not just physically, but mentally too.
Supporting Women
Through Yoga

Over the years, I’ve developed a special interest in supporting women through major life transitions. I’m experienced in teaching pre-natal and postnatal yoga, creating calm, empowering practices for pregnancy, birth preparation, and the postpartum period.
I also incorporate Yoga Nidra (deep guided relaxation) to support rest and nervous system recovery — something we all need more of in today’s world.

Why I Teach & Outside the studio..
Yoga has helped me find space and steadiness through life’s ups and downs. It’s given me tools to breathe more deeply, move more freely, and feel more grounded. I teach because I truly believe in the power of yoga to help people reconnect with themselves — and I love holding space for others to explore that journey.

Outside the Studio
When I’m not teaching yoga, you’ll often find me outdoors — walking, gardening, or enjoying time with my family. I believe in slow, seasonal living and bringing the same intention into the way we move, breathe, and show up on the mat.
